Fine Art Prints

All of the gallery images on the site are available to buy as giclée fine-art prints, in a choice of popular print sizes. Prints are produced to the highest professional standard by Fine Art Ink  – a professional Dorset based lab, renowned for their quality and printing expertise. Each print is produced using state of the art Canon imagePROGRAF PRO Series wide format inkjet printers, with genuine Canon Lucia Pro archival pigment inks to deliver prints with the widest colour gamut, excellent colour expression, superior dark area reproduction, low graininess, and exceptionally well balanced gloss characteristics.

Paper Type

All images are printed on Fotospeed Archival Papers. Unless otherwise requested, images will be printed on the media type that will provide the best result for that particular image. Paper types are acid-free, archival, and are selected for their performance, quality, light-fastness and feel. The Fine Art Trade Guild approves the papers and inks used. These papers are manufactured from a cotton base, rather than cheaper wood-pulp based papers. Custom-made colour ICC profiles are used to ensure the highest level of control of colour reproduction. Prints are supplied un-mounted and are despatched directly from Fine Art Ink.

Paper Sizes*

  • 18 x 12” – 45 x 30cm
  • 24 x 16” – 60 x 45cm
  • 30 x 20” – 75 x 50cm

*These sizes are based on the standard 3:2 photograph aspect ratio. Non-standard aspect ratio (e.g. square or panoramic format) image sizes will differ. All sizes are approximate and a 3mm white border is supplied as standard.

Print Care

All prints are carefully and safely packaged – either rolled in a hard tube, or delivered flat in a doubled walled cardboard envelope. When you receive your order, we recommend you always take great care in handling prints – their surface is susceptible to abrasion. Prior to framing, store prints in an archive quality envelope, folder or box and only use archive grade tapes and glues for mounting and framing.

Canvas Prints

Gallery images are also available to buy as high quality canvas prints. Canvas Prints are supplied ‘ready-to-hang’ and printed in the same way as fine art prints, but onto a poly-cotton matt canvas. The Poly-Cotton Canvas used is a bright white base to provide superb brightness, detail and a wide colour gamut. It has a uniform matt surface, which is crack resistant and stretches well. Canvases are varnished with a clear museum grade varnish to provide further UV fade resistance and to enhance durability. The deep 44mm premium stretcher bars are sourced from FSC accredited sustainable European pine. They are edge laminated and knot free to minimize any risk of warping. Wooden wedges are fitted into the corners for the customer to tap to take up any slack, should they become saggy in a humid environment, for example. The rear of the canvas is taped and felt corners are added to ensure the canvas sits nicely against the wall. Brass fixings just require simple wall fixings, such as a screw or hook. If you would like a specific canvas size for your home or business, contact us for prices.
